چکیده

The toxic effect of dietary histamine on the intestine aquatic animals has been demonstrated, but reports morphological observation are limited. Thus, a feeding trial was conducted to determine intestinal histology, inflammatory status and gut microbiota yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco). Here, we showed that histamine-rich diets caused severe abnormality damage intestine, including decreased villi length reduced number. In addition, quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) demonstrates increased expression pro-inflammatory genes (Tnf?, Il1?, Il8) an anti-inflammatory gene (Il10). Furthermore, alpha-diversity (observed OTUs, Chao1, Shannon Simpson) beta-diversity (non-metric multidimensional scaling, with stress value 0.17) demonstrated alterations in composition diversity. Co-occurrence networks analysis community influenced number relationship between bacteria species phyla Acidobacteria, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, which instability community. Additionally, random forest selected six bacterial as biomarkers separate three groups, Lachnospiraceae Blautia (V520), Bacteroidales S24.7 (V235), Chloroplast Streptophyta (V368), Actinomycetales Streptomycetaceae (V152), Clostridia Clostridiales (V491) Paraprevotellaceae Prevotella (V245). Finally, Pearson correlation V520, V235, V491 were negatively correlated factors positively factor (Il10), indicated might be anti-inflammatory. These findings improved our understanding histological damage, induction mucosa status, alteration microbiota.

Heritable Targeted Inactivation of Myostatin Gene in Yellow Catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) Using Engineered Zinc Finger Nucleases

Yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) is one of the most important freshwater aquaculture species in China. However, its small size and lower meat yield limit its edible value. Myostatin (MSTN) is a negative regulator of mammalian muscle growth. But, the function of Mstn in fish remains elusive. To explore roles of mstn gene in fish growth and create a strain of yellow catfish with high amou...

Dietary Available Phosphorus Affected Growth Performance, Body Composition, and Hepatic Antioxidant Property of Juvenile Yellow Catfish Pelteobagrus fulvidraco

An 8-week feeding trial was carried out with juvenile yellow catfish to study the effects of dietary available phosphorus (P) on growth performance, body composition, and hepatic antioxidant property. Six pellet diets were formulated to contain graded available P levels at 0.33, 0.56, 0.81, 1.15, 1.31, and 1.57% of dry matter, respectively. Triplicate tanks with each tank containing 60 juvenile...

A Comparative Transcriptome Analysis between Wild and Albino Yellow Catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)

Body colours are important and striking features for individual survival and reproductive success, in particular in vertebrates where mating behaviour and mate preference may be strongly influenced by non-normal phenotypes. Pigmentation disorders may be generated by disruption of one or many independent genes as well as by environmental factors. The first discovery of albino yellow catfish (Pel...

Effects of insulin and its related signaling pathways on lipid metabolism in the yellow catfish Pelteobagrus fulvidraco.

The influence of insulin on hepatic metabolism in fish is not well understood. The present study was therefore conducted to investigate the effects of insulin on lipid metabolism, and the related signaling pathways, in the yellow catfish Pelteobagrus fulvidraco. Hepatic lipid and intracellular triglyceride (TG) content, the activity and expression levels of several enzymes and the mRNA expressi...

Research Article: Effect of feeding level on water quality and plankton community structure in the yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) rearing enclosure ecosystem

Four feeding levels (40%, 60%, 80% and 100% of satiation) were designed as the different treatment groups to assess its effects on water quality and plankton community structure in the yellow catfish rearing enclosure ecosystem. The results showed that the weight gain and specific growth rate decreased significantly as the feeding level decreased. The soluble nutrients (except for NO2-N) concen...
